Running and walking team names
Two generators for teams that are measured in distance. One is for runners and relay teams, the other for walking groups and step challenges, and the two do not share their word lists.
How to choose a name for a running or walking team
Running and walking teams are named for an event more often than for a season: a relay, a charity walk, a month-long step challenge at work. That means the name goes on a registration form first and on a shirt or a leaderboard second. Check the character limit on the form, set the longest-name filter to it, and you avoid the most common problem.
Pace is the natural joke. Most relay and step challenge names admit that the team is not fast, and that honesty is why they work: the name tells every other team that this group is here to finish and have a good day. The funny style on both pages leans that way. The tough style is for the team that trains.
A running team and a walking team are not the same audience, which is why they have separate pages. Walking challenges include people who would never join a race, and a name about sprinting can put them off before the first step. Use the words that describe what the team will really do.
If the team walks or runs for a cause, a person or an employer, put that word in the box for a word to include so it sits in the name itself.
